Located in Livermore California, Mesa Systems was founded in 1987 to meet the growing demand for depot repair services. From its inception, the company discovered the need for services outside original equipment manufactures, such as cost effective repair solutions and manufacture of high failure or hard to obtain parts.
Management chose Livermore, California as Mesa Systems’ primary location due to the proximity of Silicon Valley and the options for trucking and freight services. The Silicon Valley provides a wealth of skill and available labor to draw from to maintain a balanced workforce. The Oakland airport is nearby, as well as the Stockton – Sacramento trucking corridor, which provides Mesa with plenty of options to move materials within customers’ demands.
Mesa’s first core product was the daisy wheel printer. With success in reverse engineering, and refurbishment of daisy wheel technology, Mesa branched out into dot matrix printhead repair, motor repair, and mechanical repair including printers and sub assemblies. Every step of the way, management focused on quality solutions for customers as away to reduce costs against the traditional OEM.
As a natural progression of its business, Mesa has added a full compliment of repairs based on the changing demands of the customer. The company has migrated to the point of sale industry, medical printers, and currency counting devices to name a few. Furthermore, Mesa Systems has branched out into scanner, keyboard, and electronics as well as monitor repair, carefully integrating each product with the same care as its first product, the daisy wheel printer.
Today the company has expanded, adding full service logistics, asset management, and end of life services. Mesa employees are a cross section of Silicon Valley, with the drive to meet and exceed customers’ expectations. Mesa uses environmentally friendly process and materials, and recycles when possible, to reduce the amount of waste generated.
